This
beautiful old inn (1742) has, since 1922 been a restaurant
offering American and continental cuisine and because of its
location, charming rooms and beautiful views, has been the scene
of many family occasions from christening parties to retirement
parties. Over 2000 couples have begun their married life
together. The restaurant is open year round, except for a summer
break in July and August,
and is extremely popular for holiday meals and its famous Sunday
brunch. In 1979 the Inn began its now famous Christmas theatre
banquet, which still grows each year. In 2008 approximately
10,000 customers will enjoy the all new show “The Perfect
Christmas”, an original three act musical involving comedy song
and drama performed by professional entertainers between four served courses of a
freshly
cooked Christmas feast.
So, whether
it’s a relaxing romantic table for two-savoring our menu of
American and Continental items, on the terrace or by a crackling fire,
or maybe with a group at a rehearsal dinner, a personally customized
wedding or a traditional thanksgiving feast you’re welcome here.
Its location,
right at the heart of Fairfield county makes it an ideal
location for corporate events and seminars as it lies
equidistant from all the major towns.
